My name is Jessica, but only my mother is aloud to call me that. You can call me Jessi. I'm 23 years old, mother of a happy-go-lucky two year old little girl, named Amelie, and a wife of a wonderful and handsome man named Bo. |

This is my diet blog. I've tried others before and have failed. I have to keep track of what I have eaten and this is my way of doing it. Feel free to comment and make suggestions. |
My Goal |
My long term goal is to lose 150 pounds. Yes, I am aware that is a lot, but I have to lose a lot too. I have had many problems due to being overweight including: PCOS, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, migraines, depression, anxiety, fatigue, and a few others left to name. |
My Life |
I was born and raised in Panama City, FL. I've been here all my life. I graduated from A. Crawford Mosley High School in 2003. I got married May 21, 2005 and had my first child November 26, 2005. Today, I am a stay at home mother and an army wife, trying to get by day to day as normal as possible. Which, if you know me, you know how hard that can be! I love my family, my friends, and my life. There are just a few changed I want to make to it, starting with my weight. |
My Future, My Dreams. |
I grew up in ballet class. I loved it so much. Then, there came a time in middle school that I had to give up the thing I loved to make the grade. I quit ballet and from there on, my life became harder. I gained weight, a lot of weight. Now, a high school graduate of five years, my dream is to lose that weight and get back into ballet and continue my dreams. I've always wanted to be a prima ballerina, but even if I cannot achieve that dream, I want ballet to be involved in my future. |

Friday, January 4, 2008 |

I was bad today! I had a dark chocolate brownie!!! BAD BAD BAD!! But it was soooo good.
Ate: 1 piece of whole grain Eggo waffle 1/2 a banana 2 small burritos with half lean ground beef and half ground turkey 1/2 of grated cheese 1 tablespoon of sour cream 1 table spoon of refried beans 1/4 cup of tomatoes 2 cups of pasta 1/2 pan cooked (in water) chicken breast 1 cup of broccoli with fat free mozzarella cheese
Drank: 3 cups of 2% milk 2 cups of sweet tea Lots of water
Exercise: 1.5 miles walking/treadmill 3 sets of 20 superman workout on the exercise ball 3 sets of 20 pelvic rotations on the exercise ball 3 sets of 20 ab stretches on the exercise ball
Other: 20 minutes in the sauna
I know...I shouldn't have ate the burritos but I was at a friend's house for lunch. I didn't eat a lot, so I was good. I did drink tea though and I shouldn't have. Shame on me. I also should have worked harder at the gym, but Jasmine injured her knee, so she couldn't do leg work outs today. We didn't do arm work outs because we just did them yesterday. Erg. Oh well, I am going to a Total Body Fusion class tomorrow morning. 1.5 hours of workout! Whew.
On the plus side, I lost like a total of 2 lbs! Yay me!!

Day 2 and Day 3 |

Sorry I didn't post this morning, my husband was on the computer all day. So here is the past two days work:
DAY 2
Ate: 1 cup of light vanilla yogurt with fresh blueberries 1 piece of whole grain Eggo waffle 1 pack of cheddar and sour cream 90 calorie puffs 2 baked chicken wings 3 cups of pasta 5 large marshmallows
Drank: 2 cups of 2% milk 2 cups smoothie (1 cup light vanilla yogurt, 1/2 orange, 1 large banana, and a splash of POM) 1 cup of crystal light Lots of water
Exercise: 1 mile spinning/cardio 3 sets of 20 of outer thigh workout 3 sets of 20 calf workout 3 sets of 20 of inner thigh workout
Other: 10 minutes in the tanning bed
DAY 3
Ate: 1 cup of whole grain Cheerios with 1 cup of 2% milk 1/2 banana 1 Chick-fil-A spicy wrap (with no dressing) 1 cup of mixed fruit (apples, grapes, tangerines, strawberries) 2 chicken nuggets 1 turkey burger with fat free mozzarella cheese and mushrooms on whole wheat bun with ketchup 20 baked french fries
Drank: 2 cups of 2% milk 2 cups of diet lemonade .5 cup of grape juice Lots of water
Exercise: 2 miles spinning/cardio 3 sets of 20 of upper arm workout 3 sets of 20 of lower arm workout 3 sets of 20 of chest workout 3 sets of 20 shoulder workout 3 sets of lower back workout 30 minutes of ab exercise (class)
Other: 15 minutes in the sauna
Now, I am exhausted and I am off to bed. It's back to the gym tomorrow! |

Starting the Weight Loss |

Started my diet yesterday along with the gym. I think I did a pretty good job yesterday for the first day. Here is what I did:
Ate: 1 chipotle barbecue grilled snack wrap 5 slices of turkey bacon 3 pieces of toast with light margarine (out of wheat bread so it was white...bad, I know) 2 eggs
Drank: 4 cups of tea 2 cups of 2% milk .5 cups of crystal light
Exercise: 1 mile spinning/cardio 3 sets of 20 upper arm 3 sets of 20 lower arm 3 sets of 20 chest 2 sets of 20 lower back
Other: 10 minutes in the sauna 10 minutes in the tanning bed
I know it wasn't great, but it was my first day and I wasn't very organized. I probably won't be today either, but I am going to do my best to be more organized tomorrow. I finally found my schedule so I will be using that as of tomorrow. And I am going to buy whole wheat bread today!
