A Day in the Life of Dieting...

 
My Name
My name is Jessica, but only my mother is aloud to call me that. You can call me Jessi. I'm 23 years old, mother of a happy-go-lucky two year old little girl, named Amelie, and a wife of a wonderful and handsome man named Bo.
My Blog
This is my diet blog. I've tried others before and have failed. I have to keep track of what I have eaten and this is my way of doing it. Feel free to comment and make suggestions.
My Goal
My long term goal is to lose 150 pounds. Yes, I am aware that is a lot, but I have to lose a lot too. I have had many problems due to being overweight including: PCOS, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, migraines, depression, anxiety, fatigue, and a few others left to name.
My Life
I was born and raised in Panama City, FL. I've been here all my life. I graduated from A. Crawford Mosley High School in 2003. I got married May 21, 2005 and had my first child November 26, 2005. Today, I am a stay at home mother and an army wife, trying to get by day to day as normal as possible. Which, if you know me, you know how hard that can be! I love my family, my friends, and my life. There are just a few changed I want to make to it, starting with my weight.
My Future, My Dreams.
I grew up in ballet class. I loved it so much. Then, there came a time in middle school that I had to give up the thing I loved to make the grade. I quit ballet and from there on, my life became harder. I gained weight, a lot of weight. Now, a high school graduate of five years, my dream is to lose that weight and get back into ballet and continue my dreams. I've always wanted to be a prima ballerina, but even if I cannot achieve that dream, I want ballet to be involved in my future.

1 Boca burger with cheese, mustard, ketchup, on whole wheat bun

Lots of water
3 cups milk

1 hr Jazzerball

Did good these past two days. Should have spent more time at the gym, but I did alright I suppose. Down 30 pounds! Hurray for me!!!

1 vanilla 90 calorie Kellogg's bar
1 plain chicken breast (from Burger King)
1 Tostino's pizza (BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDD)

Drank:
Lots of water
4 cups of vitamin water

Okay, let' start off with the good news. I've lost 4" from my waist, butt, and chest, 2" from my arms and calves. Bad news, none from my thighs (apparently I am not working them enough) and I ate a pizza!! NOOOOOOOO!!! It was there, in my freezer, I blame it on Jasmine for leaving it at my house. But well, at least it's gone and no longer there telling me to eat it. Yes, I swear it was saying "Jessi...eat me! I taste so good!" I finally caved. Bad. Yes very, very, very, very bad. So I am not going to eat today to make up for that extra 700 calories I ate last night!!! AGH! Anyhow, Maria (my other PT) told me to work on the elliptical machine more to lose my thighs. She said I would lose calories faster this way too.

1 Boca burger with cheese, mustard, and ketchup on whole wheat bun
Activia yogurt (strawberry)
Whole grain cinnamon and raisin bagel
1 spicy grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato (from Burger King)

Drank:
Lots of water
2 cups of vitamin water
1 cup of orange soda

Exercise:
3 sets of 15 of upper arm workout
3 sets of 15 of lower arm workout
3 sets of 15 of chest workout
2 sets of 30 ab workout
8 sets of 20 ab workout
2 sets of 30 side ab workout
50 crunches
50 sit-ups
10 assisted chin-ups
10 assisted pull-ups
1.5 miles on the stationary bike

I did alright today. Shouldn't of had the bagel. Not enough protein and too much starch. Oh well. Doing better today so far.

1/2 bag of 90 calorie pack of sour cream and cheddar puffs

Drank:
Lots of water
1/4 cup of vitamin water

Exercise:
3 sets of 20 of inner thigh workout
3 sets of 20 of outer thigh workout
3 sets of 20 of glutes workout
3 sets of 20 of inner calf workout
3 sets of 20 of outer calf workout
3 sets of 20 lower back workout
100 crunches
10 assisted push ups
10 assisted chin ups
1 hr pilates

Other:
20 mins in tanning bed

So I did good yesterday. I made sure I didn't eat a lot because I kind of splurged over the weekend. But on the bright side, I lost 2 more pounds! Yes, down a total of 27 pounds now! I also found out yesterday from my dietitian that she is entering me in the running for the New York trip and make-over. If I lose my weight they will send me to New York for a make-over. She said it's only for people who want to lose an extreme amount of weight (100lbs +) and she said if I keep up what I am doing, I can reach my goal by July! I'm so excited. Now I have even more motivation!!! Hurray!

So I know I said I wasn't going to eat anything, but I did get hungry. But I made sure I didn't eat a lot. Now I am back down to where I was...thankfully! I'm going to pilates class tonight and I get weighed in.

1 Activia yogurt (Strawberry)
1/2 grilled chicken salad with fat free Caesar dressing (from McDonald's)

1 set of 20 of upper arm workout
1 set of 20 of lower arm workout
1 set of 20 of chest workout

1.68 miles on the stationary bike

Ate:
4 turkey and cream cheese roll ups
3 croissants
4 tbsp of chili cheese sauce
10 tortilla chips
12 oz steak (from Pompano's)
4 grilled shrimp wrapped in bacon (from Pompano's)
1 cup of steamed broccoli and carrots (from Pompano's)
2 cups of salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing (from Pompano's)

Drank:
Lots of water
2 cups of low fat milk
4 cups of diet orange soda
2 cups Shirley Temple
1 cup peach rum drink thing

Exercise:

So yesterday I was very, very baaaaad. I went to a Stampin' Up meeting yesterday and that is where I had all the snack foods. Then I took my sister out to dinner at Pompano's and they didn't have single healthy thing on the menu!! So I went overboard in food and money!! Sheesh. I've decided I am not going to eat today because I got on the scale and I gained 3 freakin' pounds! OMG! I can't believe it and I can't get to the gym. I'm so freakin' angry!!!!!! I am really hating myself at the moment!!
