A Day in the Life of Dieting...

 
My Name
My name is Jessica, but only my mother is aloud to call me that. You can call me Jessi. I'm 23 years old, mother of a happy-go-lucky two year old little girl, named Amelie, and a wife of a wonderful and handsome man named Bo.
My Blog
This is my diet blog. I've tried others before and have failed. I have to keep track of what I have eaten and this is my way of doing it. Feel free to comment and make suggestions.
My Goal
My long term goal is to lose 150 pounds. Yes, I am aware that is a lot, but I have to lose a lot too. I have had many problems due to being overweight including: PCOS, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, migraines, depression, anxiety, fatigue, and a few others left to name.
My Life
I was born and raised in Panama City, FL. I've been here all my life. I graduated from A. Crawford Mosley High School in 2003. I got married May 21, 2005 and had my first child November 26, 2005. Today, I am a stay at home mother and an army wife, trying to get by day to day as normal as possible. Which, if you know me, you know how hard that can be! I love my family, my friends, and my life. There are just a few changed I want to make to it, starting with my weight.
My Future, My Dreams.
I grew up in ballet class. I loved it so much. Then, there came a time in middle school that I had to give up the thing I loved to make the grade. I quit ballet and from there on, my life became harder. I gained weight, a lot of weight. Now, a high school graduate of five years, my dream is to lose that weight and get back into ballet and continue my dreams. I've always wanted to be a prima ballerina, but even if I cannot achieve that dream, I want ballet to be involved in my future.

Day 31

Ate:
2 pieces of whole wheat toast (plain)
1 grilled chicken sandwich on wheat bread with lettuce and tomato (from McDonald's)

Drank:
Lots of water
1 cup skim milk

Exercise:
3.16 miles on the stationary bike

Other:
15 mins in tanning bed

So I still wasn't feeling great, but I missed my ab class and pilates class because I took my friend to the ER and stayed there with her. So that is my reason for not attending classes yesterday. I also got home and felt sick afterwards and I did throw up...so do I count my dinner calories? Heh. Anyway, feeling better again today. I have an appointment with my dietitian at 6:15 tonight, so I will be weighing in. But from what I have weighed myself today, I have lost 2 more pounds. Though, it's probably from not eating much! LoL

Day 30

Ate:
1/2 banana
salad with lettuce, cheese, meatballs, and 1 calorie spray

Drank:
Lots of water
1 cup skim milk

Exercise:
N/A

Other:
13 mins in tanning bed

Okay, I know I said I was hitting the gym early yesterday, and I did, but I was so freakin' sick. I got in the tanning bed, talked to my dietitian and went home. I ended up running a fever just over 101. I threw up my lunch (so there goes those calories). Anyhow, I just felt awful. I really wanted to do the cardio striptease class last night, but Angie (my PT and the teacher of the class) suggested against it. But this morning, I am feeling better. I have a touch of diarrhea, and the thought of food makes my stomach turn (so I haven't ate yet today...may have some toast later), but other than that, I do feel better. I plan on going back to the gym tonight. Probably just going to tan, do abs class, and pilates though. It all depends how well I am feeling tonight.

Diet


Day 29

Ate:
2 cups of smoothie (1/2 a banana, 1/2 strawberries, 1/2 cup of low fat vanilla yogurt, 1/2 cup of skim milk, 1 tbsp of POM)
salad with lettuce, cheese, meatballs, and 1 calorie spray
15 boiled peanuts
1 SMALL chocolate chip cookie
turkey and Colby cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread
1 small bag Bugals

Drank:
Lots of water
1 cup of juice

Exercise:
3 sets of 15 of upper arm workout
3 sets of 15 of lower arm workout
3 sets of 15 of chest workout
2 sets of 30 ab workout
2 sets of 30 side ab workout
30 mins ab class

Other:
Mommy and Me Ballet Class with Amelie and Sarah-Kate

Eh, shouldn't of had the cookie or the Bugels and I probably should have only had like 5 boiled peanuts. Yea, I'm going to do better today. Hitting the gym a little earlier today as well.

Ate:

1 turkey sandwich with Colby cheese on whole wheat bread

Drank:
Lots of water
1 cup light lemonade

Exercise:
3 sets of 20 of inner thigh workout
3 sets of 20 of outer thigh workout
3 sets of 20 of glutes workout
3 sets of 20 of inner calf workout
3 sets of 20 of outer calf workout
3 sets of 20 lower back workout
1 hour pilates

Other:
N/A

Did alright today. Next time I am only going to order one sandwich from McDonald's instead of two. Maybe I will bring along a snack instead.

Working on Weight Loss


Day 26

Ate:
turkey sandwich with Colby cheese on whole wheat bread
2 lumpia
grilled chicken skewer
grilled shrimp skewer
3 tbsp of fried rice
1/4 onion blossom

Drank:
Lots of water

Exercise:
1.44 miles on the stationary bike
3 set of 15 of upper arm workout
3 set of 15 of lower arm workout
3 set of 15 of chest workout
3 set of 15 shoulder workout

Other:
Walking around Mardi Gras (in the rain)

Day 27

Ate:
Activia low fat yogurt (strawberry)
1/4 apple
salad with chicken, lettuce, tomato and fat free mozzarella cheese with fat free Italian dressing
8oz turkey burger on whole wheat bun with ketchup and mustard
broccoli
1/2 kiwi
1/2 banana

Drank:
1 cup of milk
Lots of water

Exercise:
10 mins yogalaties

Other:
N/A

Okay, Saturday, I shouldn't have eaten the fried foods, but what can I say, the little oriental lady got me!! "Only fy dolla fo' anyting you wan" I was like "no, I'm on a diet." She says "Oh, it onree wan nigh!" I'm like "okay..." Yea, I know, shame on me. I did better on Sunday though!! LoL It's back to the gym today. They weren't open yesterday because they were moving the equipment to a different building (no, not the new one yet).
